Outline of Final Research Achievements

The COVID-19 pandemic presented significant limitations to our research activities. However, we managed to collect materials and produce video explanations for two years' worth of past exam questions. These videos covered national certification exams, foundational knowledge in caregiving and welfare, specialized Japanese language for caregiving, and the professional expertise of caregivers. In 2018, we introduced our prototype to facility staff employing EPA care worker candidates, gathering feedback through a questionnaire for necessary improvements.
Collecting on-site data from partner schools to measure educational impact proved challenging during the pandemic. Although not included in this report, we plan to disseminate these findings through academic presentations and forums.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

介護福祉士国家試験ではEPA候補者のために病名などに英語併記が導入された。このようなe-Learning教材の利用により、英語を介入言語として使用することで、より効率的な学習が可能である。また、EPA介護福祉士候補者は訪日前に自国で過去問題の内容を把握し、効果的な学習がでる。これにより、途中で挫折して帰国する候補者の数を減らすことが期待さる。さらに、試験不合格後に再受験を目指す候補者にも有用です。国内外や時間の制約なく、EPA候補者だけでなく日本人介護福祉士候補者の自主学習を支援し、質の高い介護人材の安定的な供給に寄与する。
