Outline of Annual Research Achievements

産業用の粉末金型充填を数値シミュレーションで模擬するにあたり、薄肉構造物が挿入された金型の体系において固体と流体の相互作用を模擬する必要があったり、回転式の粉末金型充填(移動壁面境界における固体-流体連成問題)を模擬する必要があったり、下杵の移動による粉末の吸引効果を模擬する必要があったりするなど、極めて高度なモデリングが求められる。
本年度は、申請者が開発したAdvanced DEM-CFD method(Discrete Element Method(DEM)とComputational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)を連成した計算手法に、壁境界モデルとしてSigned Distance Functions(SDF)とImmersed Boundary Method(IBM)を導入した手法)にDual Grid Modelを導入して、薄肉構造物が挿入された固気混相流の数値シミュレーション手法を開発した。さらに、Advanced DEM-CFD法にDEM粗視化モデルを導入して、産業用の大規模粉末金型充填の数値シミュレーションを1台の計算機で実行できることを示した。
粉箱を金型に移動させる粉末充填、回転式粉末金型充填および下杵の移動による粉末の吸引効果の数値シミュレーションを実行して、本研究で開発した数値シミュレーション手法が妥当であることを示した。
さらに、金型に粉末が充填された後の粉末圧縮シミュレーション(連続体)にも取り組んだ。粉末圧縮シミュレーションを実行するに際して、Advanced DEM-CFD methodの計算結果(固体粒子の空間分布)を構造解析の初期条件に反映した。
