Outline of Annual Research Achievements

細胞のラマン顕微鏡を使ったがん診断などの病理診断などでは、異常の存在のあるなしを評価する。このようなラマン診断をできるだけ少ない計測でかつ高精度診断する問題を、損失版多腕バンディットモデルにより「悪腕存在チェック問題」として定式化することに成功(Machine Learn. 2020, PAKDD2021)し、そのアルゴリズムを搭載したオンザフライラマン顕微鏡を新規に開発した。これは、アルファ碁の分子計測版と位置づけることができ、計測試料に関する前提条件なしに任意の診断精度で計測できるものである。
細胞状態を評価するうえでラマン画像のほか、細胞などの要素2対の軌跡データを用いて、細胞間の主従関係、細胞間の相互作用域を推定する手法を開発することに成功した(Phys Rev E 2020, J. Chem. Phys. 2021, BPPB 2021(招待))。2つの細胞の振る舞いを決める因子が,その2つの細胞以外にも,第3の細胞が介在する状況なども考えられる。そのため,多体のあいだの因果関係を推定することは要素間の組み合わせの数が膨大になり,データ科学における超難問であった。2対の軌跡データを変数とする移動エントロピーを細分化した相乗情報量に着眼し、その振る舞いを解析することで,要素間の多体の相互作用が推定できることを見いだした(Sci Adv 2022(online feature articleに選出))。
この他、ネットワーク全域にわたる大域的なキネティックスを支配する遷移状態概念を深化するべく、原子、分子の運動量も加味した化学反応ネットワークに関する研究(Physica D 2021(招待)、J. Chem. Phys. Perspectives 2021(招待)、表紙カバー、Editor’s Pick)を展開し、反応動力学を運動量を加味して拡張することに成功した。
