| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
２年度目となる今年度は、初年度につづき日本各地から収集した縄文・弥生土器胎土および付着炭化物のサンプリングを継続した。また、様々なガスクロマトグラフィー（PyGC-MS, GC-FID, GC-MS, GC-c-IRMS）による試料の測定を着々とこなしてデータを蓄積すると同時に、著名な国際誌である Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences（The impact of environmental change on the use of early pottery by East Asian hunter-gatherers）やScientific Reports（Molecular and isotopic evidence for the processing of starchy plants in Early Neolithic pottery from China）に論文を掲載したり、試料量を減らし、かつ測定時間を短くするための新しい分析方法を開発してその成果を国際会議The 8th International Symposium on Biomolecular Archaeology にて発表したりするなど、積極的な研究成果の発信を数多く行った。これらの研究の成果により、土器残存脂質分析から導かれる縄文時代における食性や調理と、稲作の故地である中国長江下流域における食性や調理の様相が明らかになり、研究の最終目的である狩猟採集民から食料生産民への食性・調理の変化の追跡に、よりいっそう近づいた。
