| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In 2018, I made use of corporate and academic archives in Germany and France, namely in Paris and Cologne. In Cologne, I visited the records of Muelhens, the famous German cologne company. In Paris I visited the University of Paris pharmacy library and met with professional perfumers and those involved in the perfume business, including for Dior and Guerlain. I also presented at the History of Science Society meeting in the United States in November and at the Business History Society of Japan meeting in Kyoto in September. In December, I submitted an article to a history of science journal which is currently under revision.
