Reason
This research was designed as a two-year project to accomplish the research purpose. According to the proposal, in the first year, the data of Korean academics' backgrounds and research activities were collected, and survey for the new Korean and Japanese academic generations had to be conducted. However, the process of collecting responses from Korean junior academics with survey have not finished. Although the survey is on going in Korea, the interviews for Korean Academics started in this fiscal year.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
After collecting the survey data from Korean junior academics, the data will be used for analyses of comparative studies to Japanese junior academics. I am planning to visit Korea several times and to contact junior academics in Japanese universities for interviews. Moreover, the interviews for junior academics in Korea and Japan will be finished by October and be analyzed by December. In this fiscal year of 2018, the results will be presented in two international conferences and be submitted to one academic paper to one of journals of Social Science Citation Index (SSCI).
