New Academic Generation in Neoliberal Policy Context in Korea and Japan

Outline of Annual Research Achievements	The survey was conducted in Korea in 2018 fiscal year and preliminary results were presented in several international conferences especially focusing on comparison between male and female academics and between Japanese and Korean academics. Moreover, with the interviews for junior academics in both countries, I found that they are facing challenges of stable positions and internationalization for their academic achievement in the neoliberal context. While previous studies have shown the differences of academic activities or performances between male and female academics, researches in the second year contribute to explore more details of current situation which junior academics are facing challenges in social context though comprehensive mixed methods.
