Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In the past year, I have presented at four conferences on topics related to my grant research, one in Japan, and the other three in international settings (U.S.A. and Macau). A paper regarding my primary findings, the impact of study abroad on informal MALL, is in the final stages of completion and will be submitted soon to the Asia TEFL journal for consideration. However, one paper and a book chapter have been published this year. These include an exploration of identity negotiation on SNSs during and after a study abroad experience and an examination of how instructor intervention affects uptake of informal MALL. Finally, my efforts presenting this research at conferences and disseminating my work has allowed me to connect with several international researchers. Several plans have been made to collaborate on research related to my grant topic in the near future.
