| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
(1) 昨年度開発した，大気・積雪系放射伝達モデルを用いて積雪と海氷の波長別偏光特性について調べた．偏光状態を示すストークスパラメータの楕円偏光(V)を除く3成分(I, Q, U)を測定し，各成分の波長，積雪粒径，入射・反射角・方位角依存性を評価した．その結果，Q，Uの特に近赤外，短波長赤外域の反射・方位角依存性が顕著にみられた．また重要な点として，QとUに中立点が存在することが明らかになった．この結果は偏光情報を用いた積雪・海氷監視の新たな可能性を示すものである．本結果は昨年度得られた研究結果と合わせて学術論文として投稿した．
(2) 気象庁の静止気象衛星ひまわり８号を用いた積雪・海氷のモニタリングを継続した．また昨年度開発した光散乱積雪粒子モデルによる，積雪粒径，積雪不純物濃度抽出アルゴリズムを高度化し，そのアルゴリズム使ってひまわり８号データから，それら積雪物理量のモニタリングを実施した．また地球観測衛星GCOM-C/SGLI搭載偏光チャンネルによる積雪情報の抽出方法について検討した．
