| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Our research group first examined the usefulness of the positive pressure echocardiography in patients with heart failure with preserved left ventricular ejection fraction. The present study shows that the positive pressure echocardiography enables us to detect a high-risk group for worsening heart failure by measuring hemodynamic changes when preload increases.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
心不全の予後は不良であり，早期の心機能障害を検出し治療介入をおこなう必要がある．本研究を通じて，下肢陽圧負荷心エコー図検査が高い安全性を有しており，左室駆出率の保たれた患者における心不全悪化の高リスク群の検出に有用であることを示すことができた．拡張障害の早期の段階で治療介入をおこなうことで将来の心不全悪化を減らせる可能性がある．
