Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research aim to establish the coaching method for baseball players (batting).We measured each player's batting motion and analyzed, not qualitative but quantitative. As a result, we found each player's character (converted data) and developed the coaching method by using characterized date. So we presented eight papers at academic conference and submitted a thesis.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

野球選手の打撃技術について、技術レベルの異なる選手の比較により、定量的な観点から技術指導を行うシステムを開発した。また、指導を施した選手の経年変化を観察することにより、システムの有効性について検証を行った。その結果、選手のパフォーマンス（スイングスピード）は優位に向上した。これらの研究結果から、野球選手の打撃技術向上に広く寄与するという社会的意義と、データを蓄積し、各選手の技術の特徴化を通じてケーススタディーを積み重ねることによって学術的意義を獲得できたといえる。
