Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In 2019, I have published a co-authored book chapter with Todayama Kazuhisa (co-investigator). The paper explains why a construction approach to logic studies is needed, and how it can be actually implemented. The paper paves a concrete theoretical foundation for the construction theory of reasoning. Besides the book chapter, I also wrote a paper introducing the importance of summer camp, where logical thinking skills for academic writing are taught as an intensive course. I was also planning to present at two international conferences about the research results. But unfortunately the conferences were cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
The research progress is going reasonably smooth but slightly delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic. So far I have published a paper that paves the theoretical foundation of the construction reasoning, and paper that explains how the construction reasoning can be practically applied. But I need to finalize the results by getting as many feedbacks from people as possible.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
According to the research plan in the fourth year, I will complete the entire recipe on how to build a logical argument based on its conclusion. The recipe will be turned into a book for publication.
|
Causes of Carryover |
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, I was not able to travel to two international conferences as planned.
