Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In 2022, I published a short textbook, "How to develop research originality". The textbook contains a series of recipes and templates that teach graduate students how to develop clear and convincing ideas for their research papers. The textbook has been used at Nagoya University as well as Okayama University. The feedback from those who have used the textbook was very positive. This shows that the theoretical framework of how to think clearly and convincingly can be practically applied to research writing. As a conclusion to this research, a full-blown version of the textbook that includes a comprehensive set of recipes and templates will be published.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
4: Progress in research has been delayed.
Reason
According to the original research plan, I was planning to visit several universities to test the construction approach and seek suggestions and comments from students who use the approach. But due to the travel restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, my plan had to be suspended. It was difficult to arrange online workshops in my case. Furthermore, the co-investigator of this project also could not accomplish the task that was set out in the original research plan.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
The plan for this year is to conclude and complete the research. This includes finishing and printing out the books that were planned. The first book is the English version of a textbook that shows, through a comprehensive set of recipes and templates, how logical thinking skills can be practically applied to writing research papers. The second book is the Japanese version of the English book. All two books will be ready by the end of this fiscal year.

Causes of Carryover |
The incurring amount is due to the delay caused by the covid 19 pandemic. Several travel plans had to be suspended or canceled because of the travel restrictions imposed between 2020 and 2022. The remaining amount of funding will be used mainly for one oversea conference trip, and printing out the textbooks.
