Outline of Final Research Achievements

Cormac McCarthy, one of the most important American novelists today, is greatly influenced by Nobel Prize-winning novelist William Faulkner, a representative of American literature, and they are the two greatest Southern writers. This study has shown how the literature of the American South has developed, by paying attention to McCarthy’s modifications on Faulkner’s techniques and themes.
