Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research studies references to other writers in Proust's works, especially in his novel "In Search of Lost Time". References to Proust in works of Haruki Murakami were also analyzed. My research papers focus on the change of images Proust's works including the drafts of the novel "In Search of Lost Time".

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

プルーストと他の作家の関連を考察することで、プルーストの手法が持つ独自性を浮かび上がらせることができた。フランスの作家だけでなく、日本の作家との比較の視点を導入し、新たな視座からの考察が可能になった。また、『失われた時を求めて』の草稿から最終稿に至るまでの変更点を確認し、執筆過程を含め作品中のイメージをたどることで、プルーストが他の作家の影響を受けながら、独自のイメージを創り出していることが明らかになった。
