Our research this year focuses on the overlooked Kuril dialect of Ainu, explored through historical records, and Nivkh, a language that had interactions with Ainu, investigated through field materials. Our goal is to deepen our knowledge of Ainu's history. We are currently preparing two books on these subjects.
