Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
First, I have published a paper in JEP:HPP with my collaborator from Macquarie University on how Japanese Katakana Words are recognized. Another paper with her, showing that Phonological encoding is free from orthographic influence, is now accepted in the Psychological Research journal. Second, I have published a paper in the Journal of Neurolinguistics (together with colleagues from Tohoku and Nagoya University) using ERPs to investigate Chinese - Japanese Bilinguals. Third, one paper (together with colleagues from Waseda and Tohoku University), showing that Japanese orthographies may constrain phonological encoding, is now accepted in JEP:LMC. Lastly, I have performed several experiments in Vietnam as well as in Tonga (together with Prof. Tamaoka) which are now being written up.
