Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
This research revealed some best practices for content-based intercultural exchange, including easy to use platforms for telecollaboration, and pedagogic principles that have been helpful as Covid-19 prevents student mobility. Each year around 20 students video-linked regularly with overseas institutions to discuss cross-cultural understanding. Asynchronous content links were held with various countries. I published a paper on these links with overseas colleagues, and presented the findings at the Global Partners in Education (GPE) conference, where we were awarded the GPE Collaborative Teaching Award. I also taught face-to-face CLIL classes. I presented my work in several countries, and held a CLIL workshop for local teachers with my American partner.
