7月にケベックシティに出張しIGU（国際地理学連合）地域会議で報告した。8月末から9月上旬にパリ・ロンドン・ブリュッセルに出張し、国際主義と地理学の関連について資料収集を行った。戦後日本の人文地理学・地理学史・地誌学・地理教育の展開に関して，国際的な状況も視野に入れつつ共著のレビュー論文を『地学雑誌』に発表した。国際学会発表のアブストラクトは，2019年7月のダブリンIGU地理学史コミッションに向けた"Exhibiting a Liberal Internationalism: Paul Otlet, Mundaneum and Geography in Early Twentieth Century Brussels"，同月のアムステルダムICHC（国際地図学史会議）に向けた"Learning Mercator through Arrowsmith: The Earliest Printed Japanese World Map on the Mercator Projection"が夫々受理された。第25回ICHST（科学史技術史国際会議）のセッションでの発表"Personified Continents in Public Places: Internationalism, Art and Geography in Late Nineteenth Century Paris"を，Springer社から刊行予定のセッション関連書に寄稿しピアレヴューが進行中である。3月にライプツィヒのライプニッツ地誌学研究所のセミナーで"The History and Geography of the Tokyo Geographical Society (1879-2019)"を報告し，研究情報の交換を行った。ミュンヘンではバイエルン州立図書館・ミュンヘン市公文書館等で資料収集を行った。
