コロナ禍で思うような研究活動ができない面も多々あったが，論文Personified Continents in Public Places: Internationalism, Art, and Geography in Late Nineteenth Century Parisを単行書（Decolonising and Internationalising Geography: Essays in the History of Contested Science）のチャプタとして公表し，国際発信することができた。この論文は早くも同じ2020年刊行のMitteilungen der Oesterreichischen Geographischen Gesellschaft, 162. Jg.への掲載論文に引用されている。また，イタリア（レッチェ）で2020年5月末に開催予定であったIGU Thematic Conference "Heritage Geographies"で発表すべく，アブストラクトArchiving the landscapes of the nineteenth century world: Marianne North and "more-than-botanical" artを2020年1月に投稿して受理されていたが，会議は2021年5月末にオンラインでの開催となった。さらに，上記単行書と同じSpringer Nature社から刊行予定の別の単行書（地理学協会の世界史に関するもの）に,A Whole New World of Chigaku: Earlier Developments in the Tokyo Geographical Society, 1879-1900と題するチャプタを寄稿すべく執筆中である。

コロナ禍にもかかわらず，一定の成果を出すことができた。

現在執筆中の論文を仕上げて寄稿し，また，2021年5月末のオンライン国際会議（Heritage Geographies: Politics, Uses and Governance of the Past）での発表を成功させ，成稿にもってゆきたい。

| Causes of Carryover |
コロナ禍で海外出張（国際学会での発表）や海外調査ができなかった。次年度も海外出張や調査は難しく，国内で入手可能な資料を収集して研究発表や論文執筆に取り組みたい。そのための旅費や書籍代・複写代などに次年度の使用額を充てたい。
