最終年度となる今年度は歴史叙述とその研究手法をめぐる方法論の分析を進めるとともに、成果報告を積極的に行った。
（１．研究会の開催）定例の研究会を2019年6月29日、9月11-12日、10月13日、12月25日に行った。
（２．研究報告） ①7月15-20日に開催された国際18世紀学会（エディンバラ大学）にて3つのパネル（「Enlightenment and Time I-III」）を企画し、代表者の小谷は「Why Should We Think Historically in Political Economy? - Rethinking of Gottfried Achenwall's Statistik, Historiography, and Prudence of State」というタイトルで発表を行った。②2月13-15日に東アジア啓蒙ネットワークの第3回コロキウム（東洋大学）を企画し、代表者の小谷は「Commonsense Philosophy and the ‘Dethroning of the Reason : A Methodological Argument in German Enlightenment between Popular Philosophers and Kant」というタイトルで発表を行った。COVID-19の影響により参加予定者のキャンセルが相次いだものの、活発な議論が行われるとともに、2020年度以降の国際研究交流プランについて話し合いがなされた。
成果報告として、3月14日に東アジア啓蒙ネットワークの第４回コロキウム（一橋大学）を企画していたが、COVID-19の影響によりキャンセルとなった。また3月15-16日に予定されていた国際スミス学会（東京大学）おいても発表を予定していたが、同様の理由でキャンセルとなった。
