Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we analyze the situation in which a decision maker facing uncertainty about temptation makes the Bayesian updating of her belief on uncertain temptation preferences when she receives information about her temptation preferences. For this purpose, we characterize behaviors equivalent to the Bayesian updating of a probability on subjective states when the decision maker facing subjective uncertainty, including uncertainty about temptation, receives information about her subjective states.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究では、誘惑に関する不確実性に直面する主体を含む、主観的不確実性に直面する主体が、自分の主観的不確実性に関する情報を受け取ったとき、主観的不確実性上の確率をベイズ改訂することと同値な行動を特徴づけた。主観的不確実性は、様々なタイプの誘惑や将来の行動から起きる後悔を含む。本研究は、これら誘惑を持つ主体や後悔を予見する主体を応用する際の理論的基盤になると考えられる。
