I published the academic book titled 'The intellectual history of Taisho democrat: the birth of "intellectual" in East Asia （Taisho democrat no seishinshi）' in February 2020. This book focuses on the ideological exchange between Japan and China.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

日本の大正デモクラシー運動と中国の五四運動は、どちらも20世紀初頭に起きた歴史的に重要な出来事であり、これまで日中両国で多くの研究がつみかさねられている。その一方で、両運動の結びつきについては、あまり注意が払われてこなかった。
これに対し、本研究では、両運動の担い手であった日中両国の知識人たちが、密接な交流を交わしていた実態を明らかにした。本研究は、従来の一国史的な枠組みを超えた新たなグローバル・インテレクチュアル・ヒストリーを切り開くものである。
