Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research presents underlying factors that engender ambiguous career choices from the perspective of a "for the time being" orientation.　Results showed ambiguous significance for unclear expressions of intentions and employment awareness.
Especially, these findings suggest a need to examine the timing by which young people falter and a need to strengthen support systems to prevent them from missing opportunities from perspectives of effective career counseling and effectiveness of early job assistance.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本実証結果は，自己キャリアに関する明確な見通しの有無に拘りすぎないことも暗示しており，就活準備が遅れ，上手く就職活動に乗り切れず就業困難に陥る層に対する多角的視点からの就労支援を考える余地を示唆している。また，正規就業を到達目標に掲げるわが国のキャリア教育体系に対して，「やりたいこと」の探求から職業社会への適応力を高める支援に向けた教育改善を提示しており、就職支援のあり方を再考する機会をもたらし得る点でも意義深い。
