Outline of Annual Research Achievements

During 2018 research continued to follow the themes of converse, engage and create:
1) Converse: Communication was had with various interested and supporting research partners. Conference attendance was productive in gaining feedback on models proposed.
2) Engage: Research meetings were held with research collegues at APU and Kita Kyushu, field visits to Australia, Indonesia and materials gathered from proper sources at these remote locations and from university libraries in Tokyo. Connections with research associates continued.
3) Create: Field survey interviews were conducted. This aimed at testing the benefits and structures of enterprise CSR to rural CB. Visits with relevant NGOs and university research organisations completed. This was moderated by periods of chief researcher illness.

4: Progress in research has been delayed.

Reason

Due to illness during 2018 progress was delayed but this will be compensated for during 2019.

The project has been engaged with creating materials from field work conducted and secondary materials collected. Now moving to research outcomes.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

In accordance with the original research plan, research activity is ongoing by collection of published material.
The principal and supporting researcher have attended both local and international conferences and are now writing appropriate papers. Extra efforts will be made this year to complete the research as scheduled.
As planned consolidation of documentation, analysis will result in written works for publication.
It is planned that these results will be also presented to research partners. Paper submission drafts are being prepared.

Ongoing related research costs and travelling expenses.
