Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Prior literature has been thoroughly reviewed. Explorative research using some in depth semi structured interviews have been conducted with some managers in Switzerland and in Japan. The interviews have been transcribed along with some notes taken. Content analysis was used to find out the commonalities of the statements. Multiple units (MUs) were used to categorize the statements with different themes. Key factors have been identified. I am really happy with these achievement and I believe that the final product will contribute to the existing knowledge. the pilot study has been presented in some international conferences and valid feedback has been received. 2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
The current status shows that the project has been progressed is on schedule according to the proposed timetable. So background has been identified, the literature has been reviewed and the pilot study using some in depth interviews has been done.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
Next stage is to get the main data using both more precise questions from the target informant and finalize to design a questionnaire. The survey questionnaire will be sent to the respondents in different firs in japan and Switzerland. The aim is to send two to three questionnaires to each firm to reduce common method variance. After receiving adequate responses, the data analysis will be started. combination of qualitative and quantitative will add more values to our research. at the same time, the findings will be presented in different conferences to get solid feedback and improve the research.

Causes of Carryover |
Following the research design, this budget will be used for collecting more data from Switzerland and Japan. Hopefully we will finalize the data collection. In addition, I will attend in some conferences in different countries presenting my initial findings and getting feedback to improve the work. Also, I would like to extend the licenses of the statistical programs for one year more.
