| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
平成30年度はベトナム（ハノイ、ホーチミン・シティ）、フィリピン（マニラ）、中国(上海）で、日本人起業家・勤務者への聴き取り調査を行った。ハノイでは6名、ホーチミン・シティ4名の調査を行い、マニラ市6名、上海市6名である。
研究代表者および研究分担者との共同の研究業績は1）平成30年9月20－21日にポルトガルAveiro大学で開催された13th European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship（ECIE 2018) で学会発表である。投稿論文（査読付き）はProceedingsに所収された。2）東洋学園大学刊『現代経営経済研究』第5巻第2号（査読付き）の巻頭論文として掲載された。
研究代表者の独立研究業績は『日本労務学会誌』第19巻第2号への論文掲載である。また、平成30年9月にOECD本部で開催されたWorkshop on Transnational Expatriates にパネリストとして招待され、研究発表を行った。
研究分担者の独立業績として2編の投稿論文(査読付き）が国際学会のProceedingに所収された。その内、Heritage Tourism and Entrepreneurship: Cases from the Welsh Context がエクワドル、Quitoで開催された第10回Tourism Congress でBest Academic Paper賞を受賞した。研究分担者は平成30年度に国際学会で5回研究発表を行った。
特記事項として、平成30年10月にSpringer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.とオープン・アクセスでの単著『Transnational Entrepreneurship in South East Asia: Japanese Self-Initiated Expatriate Entrepreneurs』の出版契約を締結した。

Reason
「研究実績の概要」にも記したが、平成29年度にネパールで開催された16th International Entrepreneurship Forum(IEF）Congress でSpringer社のExecutive Editpor が研究に関心を持ち、出版提案があった。このことが研究を遂行する高いモチベーションとなった。
本研究で困難を伴った事柄は調査協力者の発掘である。旧和僑会（現WAOJE)のネットワークから、調査協力者を紹介してもらい、スノーボール・サンプリングメソードで調査協力者を発掘した。大学での授業、校務を行いながら海外に居住している起業家とアポイントメントを取ることは簡単ではなかった。

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
東南アジア諸国（カンボジア、ベトナム、ミヤンマー、インドネシア、中国、香港、タイ、フィリピン）での聴き取り調査は平成30年度末に完了した。
平成31年度は研究成果物としての単著『Transnational Entrepreneurship in South East Asia: Japanese Self-Initiated Expatriate Entrepreneurs』の執筆に専念し、平成31年度中に上記書籍を出版する予定である。

平成31年度は著書の執筆に充てるため、平成30年度に予定していたフィリピン（マニラ市）および中国（上海市）への調査出張を前倒しし、平成30年度に行った。
