Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study is to test the relationship between the spouse's history of chronic illness (presence or absence of major illness, number of major illnesses), subjective view of health, and the person's mental and psychological state (depressive symptoms, depressive symptoms) among the community-based cohort subjects using a cross-sectional study design. As a result, no association was shown between the spouse's history of chronic illness and mental / psychological state (depressive symptoms, psychological distress, insomnia). On the other hand, the odds ratio of the spouse with chronic illness with depressive symptoms in the "bad group" to the subjective view of health "good group" was significantly high at 1.2 (p = 0.02).This association was significantly associated with an odds ratio of 1.3 for women and an odds ratio of 1.3 for those aged 64 years or younger.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
