This study continued to investigate the actual situation and development process of "community education practice" in the Tohoku coastal disaster area after the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, and examined its significance.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究では、東北の被災地の教師たちが津波被災・原発災害の渦中いかなる教育実践を切り拓いてきているかとの問題意識から、その声を聴きながら、その地域の子どもの現実に根ざし、地域を捉える眼と力を育てようとする地域教育実践の営みの実際を継続的に追い、その有する意義を考察した。また、地域と保護者の抱える困難の中で地域に生きる子どもの苦難とそれに寄り添おうとする教師の苦闘の一端をとらえ記述することができた。
本研究の主な成果の一端は、別項に記載の学術論文、学会発表として公表された。ただし、結果的に、聞き取り調査や文献研究の成果の公表は他日を期すものも多くなっているものである。
