Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we recorded part of the process by which parents raising infants under difficult life conditions were able to become active learners by continuously taking part in local child-care-support activities where various child-rearing methods were shared. We analyzed the records of parents and children who participated in monthly child-care-support events in a housing complex for three years. The results showed that parents can improve their self-esteems and attitudes toward child-rearing gradually by communicating with a variety of people (other parents, local residents and their supporters) participating in the events.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
