Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Extra and last rock magnetic measurements were carried out on samples from Site C0023. This work was done in the framework of JSPS Summer Program. A German PhD student, with whom I am collaborating on this project, was granted a JSPS fellowship for two months in June-August 2019. Initial rock magnetic measurements on samples from Site 1174 and Site 808 were conducted. A Kochi University undergraduate student did the measurements for Site 1174 for his Bachelor's thesis. A DAAD Rise worldwide summer intern did the measurements for Site 808 in August-September 2019.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
A manuscript on Site C0023 is ready for submission after comparison with geochemical study. Data on Sites 808 and 1174 will be the subject of ODP data reports after acquiring new data in 2020.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
Last rock magnetic measurements on Sites 808 and 1174 will be carried out and data reports will be submitted. Results will be presented at the EGU online conference.
