韓国の農政展開や構造問題，トゥルニョク経営体などの生産者組織を対象とした日本の研究者は必ずしも多くないため，これら対象を明らかにすること自体に学術的社会的意義がある。また，農業構造や市場開放など日本と韓国は共通する問題・課題を抱えており，韓国での取り組みから日本が学ぶ，あるいは取り入れるものも少なくない点でも意義がある。
