Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research project, we conducted research with the goal of "clarifying the mechanism of bone mass regulation by utilizing the results of inflammation research." The subjects analyzed were 2,628 residents living in Goto City, Nagasaki. The drinking habits and smoking habits were confirmed to be related to bone mass independent of sex, age, and body mass index by sex. I have Genetic analysis of 1,767 individuals showed that genetic factors most strongly associated with drinking habits were associated with drinking habits (male p<0.001, female p<0.001). In addition, a genetic factor that was reported to be strongly associated with inflammation-induced release from adipose tissue was associated with bone loss (OR 1.6, 95%CI 1.13 2.42, p=0.01). It was considered to be a highly reliable research result. The materials and samples obtained in this study are the starting point for elucidating the relationship between chronic inflammatory pathology and bone mass regulation mechanism.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
