Outline of Final Research Achievements

We examined the Possibility of Pulmonary Regenerative Medicine Research using the mouse fetal lung tissue, ips cell and lung disease model. We established the stability of respiration and the surgery of mouse transplantation. (ventilation, depth of anesthesia, frequency of ventilation, pressure, optimal premedication dosage etc).
We trained the stability of thoracotomy of mouse and the fetal lung sampling and cell transplantation. We established the methods of the homogenize of the tissue (cytokine anlysis) and the tissue sampling of the lung ( lung sampling, Paraffin embedded and blood sampling from the right ventricle ) .

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

肺気腫や肺線維症などの終末期肺疾患に対しては,現在,肺移植が有用な治療手段として確立されているが,肺移植に使用できる健常なドナー不足は深刻な問題である.再生医療が必要とされるが,肺の再生の複雑なメカニズムを研究し,障害肺を再生へ導く細胞の由来,分化の仕方,必要な蛋白,時間的経過などのより詳しい機序を探求し,肺の再生医療を実現することを目標にする研究である.
