Outline of Annual Research Achievements

研究は2008年から脊椎退行性疾患と腰痛および頸部痛の関連、そして椎間板変性や終板変化などのMRI変化との関連を調べるために一般住民を用いた大規模なコホートとして開始した。
2021年度は現在まで収集したデータの解析を行い、国内および国際学会において報告を行った(国際腰椎学会、日本整形外科学会や日本脊椎脊髄病学会)。主な結果としてタイプIおよびI/IIのModic変化は、腰痛と有意に関連しており、Type I/IIでより強い関連が観察されました。サブ表現型の分析より、Modicの変化に対処する将来の研究や、痛みの発生に関連するメカニズムに対処するために考慮する必要がある腰痛の特定のパターンが明らかになりました。(Teragchi et al. Detailed Subphenotyping of Lumbar Modic Changes
