Outline of Final Research Achievements

We examined the psychological effects of otolith dysfunction on emotions. It was revealed that otolith vertigo has a stronger tendency for anxiety but less tendency for depression than another vestibular disorders. The anxiety tendency was not related to the actual body unsteadiness. This suggests that otolith dysfunction may have some direct effect on anxiety tendencies.
