| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
成長期の近視は、眼球が大きくなることで生じる。しかしながら、成長期の眼球形態の変化は明かでは無い。近年、光干渉断層計の登場により、眼球形態をマイクロメートル単位で画像化することができ、検査は非侵襲であることから、小学校と中学校の眼球の成長に伴う、眼底微細構造の変化を明らかにすることを目的とする。
小学校3年生から継続して検査している本年度は中学校1年生になった77名の検査を予定通り完了し、データベース化した。小学生は同対象者を5年間継続的に検査することができた。中学生はすでに182名の3年間の検査が終了しており、データべース化されている。
また、小学生5年間、中学生3年間の眼球形態の変化のデータベースを用いて、国際学会で４演題（「Axial elongation rate in eyes of junior high school students」、「Classification of macular shape of children on optical coherence tomography」、「Peripapillary nerve fiber elevation and axial elongation in junior high students」、「Macular morphology in junior high school students using OCT vertical image」）、国内学会で８演題を発表した。また、眼球形態に関する論文が９篇掲載された。

小学校3年生から継続して検査している本年度は中学校1年生になった77名の検査を予定通り完了し、データベース化した。
また、すでに3年間のデータベース化が完了した中学生と上記小学生のデータを用いて、国際学会で４演題、国内学会で８演題発表した。また、論文が９篇掲載された。

2019年4月の日本眼科学会（東京）に1演題、5月にAssociation for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology（カナダ、バンクーバー）に１演題、5月の日本視野学会（大阪）に１
演題、９月の国際近視学会（東京）に３演題発表したのち論文にする。
平成31年度以降も中学２年生になった対象者を中学３年生まで継続的に検査していく。

| Causes of Carryover |
予定していた学会発表、論文投稿の一部が翌年度に持ち越したため、次年度使用額が生じた。2019年度の学会発表、論文投稿に次年度使用額を使用する予定である。
