| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The project investigates the dynamic changes of state-civil society relationship in the post-Nepal Earthquake 2015. The project focuses on three thematic areas (the power of state, civic engagement and local leadership, as well as reconstruction aid delivery and effectiveness.)In 2018 April I have completed the first-round household survey (nearly 400 households) in all study sites and started the data analysis. I have also transcribed the indepth interviews content. The household survey and indepth interviews provided insightful information about the economic, social and emotional wellbeing of earthquake-affected families. The data also allowed me had a better understanding about decision-making process of housing rebuilt. By 2019 January, a second round survey was conducted with 150 households who have participated the study one year ago. The data shows that there were significant changes in housing rebuilt in this one year.

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
In this year, I will conduct the rest of second round survey (about 50 households) and do the in-depth interviews. This will be the final year of this 3-year project, I will focus on data analysis and disseminate the research outcomes. Besides, giving presentation in international conferences and submitting articles to peer-review journals, I will plan to start the book project (writing book proposal and contacting potential publishers).

| Causes of Carryover |
I got the cheaper tickets in the financial year 2018 so I will use the remaining fund for coming year.
