Outline of Annual Research Achievements

We use Belief Revision Games to model belief propagation agent network. In FY2017, we focused on two topics: (i) consensus in belief merging, and (ii) belief promotion.
(i) We introduced consensus operators. They are general merging operators that are useful to define revision policies used by the agents in Belief Revision Games. We have published a paper on this topic in AAAI'17.
(ii) We introduced a new class of belief change operators named promotion operators, which are useful to analyse the robustness to manipulability of some classes of Belief Revision Games from the manipulability viewpoint. We have submitted a paper to KR'17.

Current Status of Research Progress

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

We have published our first results on consensus in belief merging at the AAAI'17 conference, which is one of the top worldwide AI conference.
We have worked on belief promotion and submitted to the KR'18 conference, which is the top worldwide conference in Knowledge Representation and Reasoning.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

We are now working on extensions of the previous works. One includes an IJCAI'11 related to the topic and will be submitted to Journal of Logic and Computation soon. Two other previous works on Belief Revision Games (AAAI'15 and IJCAI'16) are planned to be extended to top AI journals in FY2018.
