Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study employed qualitative and quantitative research to examine the factors that encourage long-term employment of nursery school teachers. The results demonstrated 1)a positive correlation between the their relationship with children and work continuation factors, 2)a weak positive correlation between the number of years of employment in the current workplace and work continuation factors, 3)a weak negative correlation between the number of years of employment since the nursery school teacher’s graduation from their training in childcare and work continuation factors. We believe that some of the characteristics of the nursery school teachers who continue to work in this profession are that they have established a relationship with the children and achieved a certain sense of accomplishment from their work. In addition, even for those who have resigned or are dissatisfied with their current workplace, employment itself seems to serve as a factor for them to continue their work.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
