Outline of Annual Research Achievements

メルケル細胞癌(MCC)は高齢者に好発する予後不良の皮膚神経原性悪性腫瘍である。MCCの約8割にMerkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV)の感染が認められMCCの発癌に寄与する。これまでに、MCPyVの有無でH3K27me3の修飾状態が異なることを明らかにしてきた。本年度は、研究成果をもとに論文投稿を行った(Decreased H3K27me3 Expression Is Associated With Merkel Cell Polyomavirus-negative Merkel Cell Carcinoma, Especially Combined With Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Anticancer Res. 39(10):5573-5579. 2019.)。
