Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We examined to understand the current state of empathetic communication skill of medical students and the factors that improved of empathetic communication skill. We understood that clinical practice of current medical education significantly improves empathetic communication skill. In addition, a long time medical interview with one patient improved more empathetic than an over medical interview with many patients. Finally, medical students with depression and anxiety have difficulty improving their empathetic communication skills than others. We understood that medical interviews with an appropriate number of patients and considering the mental health of medical students improved empathetic communication skill.I have posted the final result papers.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究により,良き臨床医育成には多くの患者と接した経験よりも一人一人の患者と接し,それをしっかりと理解するといった,ある程度の時間的余裕を持った臨床実習が必要であることが明らかとなった.これをシステマティックにすることで,効率よく,良き臨床医育成には欠かせない,共感的なコミュニケーション能力向上を行うことが出来るのではないかと考えている. 良き臨床医を多く輩出できることで,患者への対応能力が向上し,診察の質が向上することで,ひいては医療費削減に貢献できるようになるのではないかと考えている.
