Outline of Final Research Achievements

Higher view rate (large numbers of the projection) had a potential to achieve superior image noise suppression in abdominal CT with model based iterative reconstruction (new reconstruction method). This was conformed in both the phantom and clinical studies compared with 2400 and 1200 views.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

英国を含む14か国での医療被ばくによる発がんリスクを推定し,誘発される発がん率が非常に高いとの報告がある.逐次近似再構成は,画像ノイズの極めて少ない画像を再構成できる技術として,2011年に商用化された.投影数の多い撮像パラメータを用いることで,逐次近似再構成のノイズ低減効果は向上することが明らかとなった.この知見は,今後の低線量撮影法の確立,および我が国におけるX線CTの開発に応用可能である.
