Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In this project, we investigated the effects of nephronectin in the process of dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) attachment, proliferation and differentiation. Also, the effects of two fragments derived from laminin 411 and laminin 511 in odontoblast-like cells (MDPC-23 cells) were evaluated. The results revealed that 1) nephronectin is a promising DPSCs adhesive, which also leads to the osteogenic differentiation; 2) iMatrix411 (E8 fragment of laminin 411) promoted the proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of MDPC-23 cells; 3) iMatrix511(E8 fragment from laminin 511)enhanced the proliferation and odontogenic differentiation of MDPC-23 cells.
