Outline of Final Research Achievements |
A cross-sectional study using self-administered or web-based questionnaires was conducted in 67 hospital wards at 11 facilities to examine the impact of nursing professionalism on the organization and patients through team dynamics among nurses working in hospitals. The results suggested that the quality of nursing care is higher when nurses possess greater professionalism. Furthermore, a qualitative study was conducted through semi-structured interviews with 14 nurses to identify the nursing professionalism growth process through the nurses’ experiences related to professionalism. The study revealed that professionalism can be effectively developed not only by individual self-improvement of nurses but also by the work environment and involvement of managers.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
