Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
The activities have been conducted as planned. However, travels were restricted because of the COVID-19 situation. The indigeneity symposium scheduled for April 2020 at the University of Hawaii was canceled last year, and the symposium was reorganized this year via zoom. Another conference of the Japanese Association for South Asian Studies was supposed to be held at Kyoto University. That was also changed to online presentation. Due to these reasons, the budget allocated for travelling to participate in conference presentations was unspent in this academic year.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
The upcoming Academic year will also be allocated for presentation and publications of the research findings.
|
Causes of Carryover |
Amount allocated for travelling to conference presentations in fiscal year 2020 was unspent because conferences were either cancelled or changed to online presentations due to COVID-19 pandemic. The remaining amount will be used for publication costs like article processing fee and professional English editing of journal papers.
