Paradigm shift of Godunov-type finite volume method for compressible flow

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

平成30年度において,以下の研究成果が得られた。
①セル境界における不連続(変差)を最小化する原理,すなわちBVD原理に基づき,再構築関数を選択する複数のBVDアグロリズムを提案した。そのうち,セルの各境界セグメントにおける総変差を指標とするBVD法の定式化について実証を行い,実用性が高く非構造格子に適用し易い方法を見出した。②多段階BVDアグロリズムを提案し,WENOのような非線形重み係数を用いる多項式を用いず,常係数多項式とTHINC関数のみを許容関数としたBVD解法の開発に成功した。この解は既存の非線形リミター(あるいは非線形重み係数)に基づく高解像度解法と根本的に異なり,連続と不連続解の両方に対して数値散逸が極めて少ない高精度な数値解が得られる。③THINC法を許容再構築関数として用いたBVD法を反応性圧縮性流れ及び自由界面多相圧縮性流れの数値解析に適用し,反応面及び多相間の移動境界面における数値散逸誤差を解消した。長年既存の数値解法が解決できなかった難問を解決した。④BVDの概念をHLLリーマンソルバーに適用し,その接触不連続における過剰な数値散逸誤差を大きく改良した。改良したHLLリーマンソルバーは,他の既存HLL系手法に比べ,計算精度とロバスト性の両面において優位性を示している。

本研究計画は平成29~30年度において,現行の有限体積法の空間再構築法を根本的に見直し,数値解法設計の新しい指針としてセル境界変差値の最小化原理(BVD原理)を確立させるとともに,それに基づく新型解法の 開発を中心に研究を取り組んできた。当初の計画より上回る研究成果があげられた。本研究構想は,数値流体力学研究の長年抱えていた難問を解決し,新しい方向性を示す成果をあげ,関連分野の新しい理論体系の形成と応用問題の解決にも大きく資するものであろう。
