| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
日本では、母体保護法により「胎児が、母体外において生命を保続することのできない時期（生育限界）」に限り、母性の生命健康を保護することを目的で人工中絶を行うことを認めている。
本研究では、本法律における「生育限界」の定義の変遷およびその背景を分析し、また人工妊娠中絶に関する法律にて用いている「生育限界」の用語の定義が臨床現場に与えている影響を分析し、現在の医学的・社会的状況と本法の合致性を検討することを目的としている。
初年度である本年度は、厚生労働省人口動態統計を用いた統計学的解析を行い、本分析成果を関連する研究会にて発表し、法律・倫理・医学の各分野の専門家からの意見をまとめた。
