Research Abstract

一昨年度及び昨年度に引き続き, 各研究グループが有機的に連携を保ちつつ, それぞれのグループの特色を生かして巨大ひずみ材料のメカニクスの系統的把握を行った. 種々のひずみ量まで巨大ひずみ加工された標準試料についての系統的な実験と材料組織観察を行い, その強度・延性・靭性・疲労特性を明らかにした. 得られた研究実績の概要は以下の通りである.
巨大ひずみ材料について種々の材料試験を行い, 理論的考察とあわせて塑性変形機構を議論し, 応力-ひずみ関係のひずみ速度および温度依存性についての定式化を行った. また, 巨大ひずみ材料におけるミクロ因子(集合組織、転位密度, 内部応力)の中性子回折による巨視的平均測定を行い, それらの結果を合理的に説明する材料組織の特徴についての考察を行った. さらに, 巨大ひずみ材料における脆性-延性遷移(BDT)挙動の定量的測定と破壊時に発生するクラック近傍の転位組織についてのTEM観察を行い, クラック発生・進展の機構について考察した. 加えて, 巨大ひずみ加工後に現れる異常降伏現象等の特徴的な塑性変形挙動についての実験的把握を行うとともに, 巨大ひずみ材料において高強度と高靭性が両立するための基本条件を提示した.
本年度までに得られた研究成果は, 平成20年11月21日〜24日に福岡市九大西新プラザで開催された「巨大ひずみ国際シンポジウム(英文名称 : International Symposium on Giant Straining Process for Advanced Materials(GSAM-2008))」においても発表した.
