Research Abstract

金属が大きく変形させられると内部に結晶格子の不整合が導入され、結晶の粒が細分化されます。この格子不整合や結晶粒は金属の持つ性質を変化させ、高い機能を持つ環境に優しい材料を創り出す可能性を秘めています。この課題では原子レベルから格子不整合の集合体レベル、さらには、結晶粒の集合体について最先端の計算力学理論に基づいたコンピューターシミュレーションを駆使し、内部構造変化のメカニズムと特性の関係を解明しました。
